Hokkaido Ichiba

Hubby took me to The Gardens to celebrate my Birthday. We have no idea what to eat and walked around. We accidentally found this Japanese restaurant, Hokkaido Ichiba

After browsed thru the menu, we found that the choices were lots, and prices were moderate.

We were so tempted by Wagyu. After our Singapore trip and had our first taste of wagyu, we fell in love with it.....

Wagyu Kabayaki, RM 68 for 8 pcs

Yummie.... Thumbs up

Hubby's choice: Miso Hotate Ramen aka Scallops ramen, RM 16.80 (not so bad, right)

My choice: Miso Kani Ramen aka Snow crab ramen (RM 23.80)

Enlarged snow crab. very sweet, recommended but the ramen was moderate

Desert: Macha Milk Parfait (RM 8.80). The macha ice-cream was good, not too sweet. Having together with the sweetened red bean was just the perfect match.

We went home straight after dinner. Hubby bought me a Macha cake from RT pastry
Its already well known as signature cake, taste really good

Hehehhhe... at last, my B'day present, a Swatch. So touch, hubby actually noticed I was wearing the same watch he gave me during my birthday for almost 4 years. It's time for a change.....

Hatyai Trip- Day 2 & 3

After breakfast, our tour guide to us to a temple located at public garden. We saw lots of donors had their name written on the elephants, chairs and walls. Most of the donors were Malaysian, guess they might be business men....

After the temple, we went to Songkla and got the the hill top via cable car. The view was nice but weather was hot. It was a shame that our tour guide did not accompany us, so we did not get much explanation of the attraction.

Since all of us are from Kuantan, a town by the sea, we were not interested to go to the seaside. So the tour guide suggested underwater world instead.

There was a feeding show exactly we reached. Cute string ray and shark

The boys were so excited. It worth!!

We the proceed to a cashew nut factory. Initally we thought of buying lots of gift from this factory but we got soooo dissapointed. The factory meant, a lady packing up small packs of cashew nuts from a big bag..... sigh
So we ended up just having our lunch at the restaurant behind the factory. Well a dissapointed lunch.....

The food was lausy. Even it looked ok, but very spicy and the chicken tasted like rock. After lunch, they sent us back to hotel. All of us went for another round of tea break at the mall next to hotel.

We had dinner opposite our hotel, a decent Chinese dinner. Shark fin scramble egg

Can't remember what is this, something like deep frien bean curd

Suckling pig. Yum yum

Chinese cabbage... not bad
Pig troather...
After dinner, sis took the boys back to hotel. They missed their PSP, while we went for night strolled outside our hotel. There were night market with lots of food and apparels. CS and I went for massage. He had 2 hours body massage while I had 1 hr body and another hr foot massage. Can't remember how much it exactly cost but definitely lot s cheaper compared to KL.
The tour sent us to airport after breakfast. That's the end of our 3D2N Hatyai trip. Although the trip was not a pleasant ones, but at least the whole family did spend some times together...

Bye Bye

Moral of the story: Should have update the blog once I get home. Been kept this too long and had forgotten lots of the detail..... .hmmmm

After dinner, we went for a lady boy show. Hubby and I watched ones from Bangkok last year. If to comment, we prefered the Bangkok, not only the performers are prettier and their clothes nicer, but the spirit of performance also gain more respect from us.

The show started with some story of prince getting to war, honestly, we don't really understand the message. heheh....
After a few dances, suddenly an out liar turned up. This indicated that not all lady boy are prettier than an ordinary woman..... hehehe

This lady boy was bit of joker. Her initial performance was rather funny but till the end, was rather rude. I gotta blocked my nephew eyes, u know what I mean.

This was a story of white and green snake, I think something like Chinese myth. Anyhow, the green snake was sooooo sweet.

How to compete? I would rather die fat if can't eat.... ahem
After the show end, they requested for photo session and there were where the lady boy could asked for tips. Unlike Bangkok, they actually blocked the main entrance and we gotta squeeze thru them to get back to our car. Most of the young couples did not stay but they mostly targetted the older men. My father was one of them. He made a mistake by taking out his wallet. After tipped one of them, the rest will circled him until he tipped all. I found something was not right and tried to drag him away. At the end, one of the older lady boy scratched my hand. My sis gave me some antiseptic once we got into the car.......
