What a long long flight

My flight was schedule at 11.15 pm. I gotta flew 12 hrs ++ to Amsterdam, waited for 5 hrs and took another flight for 8++ hrs. Total up approx 26 hr flight from Kuala Lumpur to Boston!

I reached KLIA at 9pm. I had problem looking for the checked in counter. When I found the counter, the flight attendant told me that I was not entitled for meal during my flight from Amsterdam to Boston!!! I was rather stunt and yet feel lucky that I brought some twiggies with me.

I feel very reluctant leaving hubby behind. I went to the Premium Lounge before flight. There was a football match on and some customers were watching. I took some food and drink, smuggled few bottles of mineral waters.

I reach Schiphol Airport at 6 am. The sky was so bright and I was rather awake, possibly did slept a while in the flight. I was seated by the window seat and squeezed in by a Holland couple. So after called hubby, I wondered around and took some photos.

So happy finding the tulip!!! Soooo nice...

There was a musuem in Schiphol airport. But still under renovation.

Casino! I went in and take a round. Nothing much in there, if compared to Genting and Cambodia. But I did change some Euro in there.

Amarula cream. Aunty May said it tasted good....

The proof of entering the casino

This is the prettiest girl I saw in Schiphol airport. Well, actually saw a few pretty chicks, some hot guys, couples of big boobs and plently of cute babies!!!!

Later I felt really hungry and search for food. Knew that I can't take too long as my boarding time at 9.30 am, an hour an a half before departure.

Ordered the cheapest food around, a piece of apple pie and a big mug of coffee!

Very tasty, but very filling. Can't finished the whole piece though....

Heheheh.... this was the toilet paper in Schiphol airport...

Later I knew why it need an hour and the half to board the flight, the security to US was really stringent. They kept asking lots of security questions and very funny stuff. Such as where I packed my lucgage, who packed it, did I see anyone touched my luggage before. Although I understand why they need to ask these kind of questions but I still couldn't help feeling funny...

This is Miranda. My neighbour for 8 hrs. She was travelling to Maines for summer camp. She is a very outspoken and cute girl.

Because of her, the air steward gave us another cup of ice-cream!!!!! heheheeh

She said the pizza was nice but I felt it was too hard. But really I did not have much appetite, so after a bite, I just let go.

At 1.30pm Boston time, we finally landed. Logan airport was rather small compared KLIA. I went straight to hotel by tube. First by bus from airport to train station. Then from airport to government centre by tube and then tranfer to another line to Prudential centre. By carrying a almost 30kg luggage plus a 4 feet poster tube, I almost had my ankle sprained again............

Jet lag

Whoa... never understand when people saying they were having jet lag when travelling. Now I really felt it. I 've been sleeping very early every night, not even before 10 pm, but then I got awake at 2-3 am, and not able to sleep anymore. So I watched some movies downloaded by a colleague of mine. That's not good. I'll felt dizzy and drooling after lunch. Initially I thought I was feeling sleepy after lunch but then only I realize that is jet lag. Not only sleepy, I even felt like vomiting!

The entire plan I had for shopping was called off due to too sleepy and I gotta rushed back to hotel room and sleep!

Let's see if I can stay up late tonight and sleep after 12 am. Then I might be getting use to the routine here.

Good thing is I haven't got any appetite ever since I left Malaysia. I ate very little and get nauseated if I keep on stuffing myself. So I started to take a few nip and stopped. Ate light stuff like cookies for b'fast & dinner. Even lunch wasn't that great. The only meal that I tried to take was sort of baked seafood platter in Quincy Market, taste really good & fresh, its a combination of lobster meat, scallop, shrimp & fish. The lobster meat was so so, but the scallop was fabulous. Even that meal was not completed, just finished the main course, leaving plenty garden salads and an untouched baked potato. Yvonne must be grumbling that I should have finished up the baked potato instead.

Ok, time for class.... gotta continue later. Not having connection in hotel room, so I gotta do all my internet at the convention centre. But thanks to my office IT settings, FB was not allowed, so I am not able to upload anything in FB.

I'll be back.... take care everyone!

Funny

It's a funny feeling. I'll be flying to Boston a day after tomorrow. It has been a preparation for almost 4 months before this trip. I've been longing for this trip, as a part of my job recognition and as a part of proving to myself independancy.

I am going alone, leaving hubby behind. I am scared, partially due to the kind of big shot I am going to meet, partially due to alone.

When times get closer, the butterflies in my stomach fly even more fierce. Can I survive? Pray hard and God Bless me....
