Both my nephews just visited KL recently. For almost 2 weeks they had been here, we hardly have time to spend together. Partly due to my father's operation, other than that they are both really busy attached to their PSP.
Both of them aged 5 and 7, are addicted to so called "computer games"- so called by us who do not familiar with it. Besides of the PSP, PS2 is another thing they can't live without.
Being guilty that they do not spend some occation with me, my elder nephew keep on asking me to stay overnight at my sis house. I hardly make time until the final day, hubby and I went over for lunch. Somehow, thru out the lunch, my nephew hardly talk to me at all, he is with his PS2 entirely. My sis told me that he always wish me to see me but keep on stay intact with PS2.
I was curious, he really want to see me or he just want me to be there so that he can continue with his game without feeling so guilty?
To think of it, as adult, we do have the same attitude as well. We always expect our other half (namely husband or wife) to stay at home with us after work. But how much of time that we really spend together? I might be reading/ watching tv and he has his newspaper/ online / computer game. Would that be any difference if I went cinema with friends and he can be at home alone? Just wonder, child character is much reflect on adult behaviour all the times. Why can't we see it before? Do we really need a companion or we just need some other creatures to share our oxygen?
