Hainan Trip- Day 4

Mom and I woke up early and waited for the rest at the lobby. Since the others were not yet ready, we decided to take a walk nearby the hotel. The breeze was so cool just like Genting. Not sure what the temperature was but feel really comfortable walking around.

We passed by Bank of China and there were a number of aunties around there, asking us if we wanted to change currency.

Opposite, there were a bunch of shopping mall employees exercising.

Master Wang took us to a small shop selling noodle. According to a recent Taiwanese documentary, this Hainanese Bao Lo noodle is rank world first noodle. Taste not bad though.

Master Wang insisted the breakfast on him and he even bought us chu cheong fun, wrapped with prawn and egg.

There was a little kid out there loved posing for photo shooting. So cute!!!

Yvonne kept mumbling about her coconut and luckily Master Wang found a shop selling all sorts of coconut. The problem was the hawker said that the local coconut was bit as sweet as Thai fragrance coconut. End up we took the Thao fragrance coconut....

We then proceeded for lunch: Original Wen Chang Chicken. Yummy, really nice, even better than Hainanse chicken

Early that morning, we went to Carrefour for dried seafood shopping spree. They even could bargain in Carrefour!!! We got some quite nice bargain for the scallop, oyster and clam meat. We thought the noon shopping might be nice as well. After reaching this mall, initially the outlook was quite well but after one round, we decided to go for coffee instead.

Master Wang said that this coffee shop was well known for their good coffee. To admit, their Fu Shan coffee was fabulous but certainly not the Vienna coffee.

In this cafe, you just pay for a cup of good coffee, if you get a good service, you are getting the bonus. I think you might understand what I mean...

After coffee time, we went to a wet market located beside some hawker stalls. Again, we could choose our seafood and cooked it at the stall. Somehow, the seafood price in Haikou were almost doubled compared to Sanya. Thus, mom did not feel like buying. But Master Wang bought a lot and said all on his house. So touch......

Luckily we did not round all the stall. Yen's dad said there was a corner where the hawker killed snakes and tortoise, yuck!!!

Oh ya! We found a stall selling rosted piglet but the taste was so so.

After dinner, we went back to hotel and let our parents retired while four of us went for a theater. The show was directed by "Chang Ying Mou" and we were really fascinated by it. Double thumbs up! A must see!!!

After the show, Master Wang took us a food street for supper. At first we were so excited and planned to try out everything. We ordered a spring roll kind of and requested them to cut into four. Master Wang negotiated to add an egg and pay extra so we could have a plastic bag each. Initially the wife agreed so but when the husband came, he kept grumbling. When I paid him RMB 5 and expected for RMB1 for change, he refused to return it to me. Master Wang get angry and confronted him. The wife quickly returned my money and lots of people started to gather around us. We were so scared and Master Wang intended to call up his friends. The quarrel faded off when Master Wang cooled down and started to explain why he got so angry.
