Boston Trip - Day 9 Harvard University

The conference ended a day before. This day, I woke up early in the morning and had two mission with me. Visit MIT, again and Harvard. I took cab to MIT, Kendall Square and take almost 10 mins to find the lab. Initially I thought my visit was a bit of fruitless until I met the PIC of the equipment. He was so friendly and helpful. He even offered to give me some papers for reading. After MIT, I went to Harvard by train, just 2 stops.

According to the map I printed from Google, it only took 10 mins walk from the station to the lab I intended to visit. I guess the 10 mins means if I walk 120 km/ hr. It was so complicated that I almost lost on my way to the lab.

I passed the main street and surveyed some restaurant that I could have my lunch.

According to some website, Harvard Square was the place that Harry Potter film. I don't know how true was that... hheheeheh

Any similarity?

Feel more intelligent in Harvard? I dunno... really....

After several wrong turned, I decided to take my lunch before headed to the lab.

I was looking for steak, so ended up in Grafton Street. I ordered again New England Clam Chowder and a steak.... but....

Just so so, I still prefered The Reef's Clam Chowder

It came with crackers...

I was wrong, its was a strip with rice..... sigh....

After lunch, I proceeded to the Faculty and looked for the lab.

I really like their architechture. Couldn't help taking photos along the way.....

Finally I found the faculty but there was still one and half hour before the meeting. The famous Museum of Natural History is next to the faculty. So with the CIty Pass I purchased at Aquarium, I had a free entry.

There were a lot of different stones collected from all over the world. Some were very nice like crystals, really..

After the stones hall, I proceeded to the environmental exhibition hall.

This hall was something related to the natives all over the world....

By the time I ended with this hall, I only left 10 mins to my meeting. So I left the museum and found a sign board written Peabody Museum. When I met with the Professor's secretary, she asked me if I have seen the famous glass flower and those gigantic dinasour 's bone. Then only I noticed I had taken a wrong turn. Instead of visiting the Museum of Natural History, i just visited a hall, the stones... while others belongs to the Peabody Museum.
After the lab visit, I felt so tired and my leg began aching. Luckily I wore sport shoe but yet, still felt the pain.....

I went back to the main street and took a cab back to hotel. Then I realise I should have stopped at Copley Place to get Yen's & Yvonne's Coachs.

There was Shell in Boston. This photo was taken specially for Yen! Upon reaching Coach, I placed my order and strolled around. I ended up getting Yvonne's handbag (Same as mine with Coin flower in colour), ordered Yen's and bought a wallet for hubby. Quite sad that the one I preffered had defect on all units due to some stupid paper. The Coach slid paper in between the wallet to prevent the leather from sticking on each other, and it ended up those paper sticked on the leather and left traces on it. So I ended up with the same model I looked for with different colour. In another word, I had to returned the next day to get Yen's baby.
After Coach, I went to the Shaw supermarket again. I planned to smuggle in some fruits such as cherry and peaches.

I also bought some fried chicken wings and drumstick... very nice...... maybe hungry.... hheeheh

Own made Malaysian coffee

Oh ya... I also bought a pepperoni....

After did some packing, I went to look for my final dinner... must eat steak!!!! So ended up in this sort of pub. Due to I was alone, the waiter wished to put me at the bar but I refused to, never like eating at the bar....

This is a cranberry lemonade. Ok lar... not so bad

They gave me a bucket of pastries and I returned it, knew that I could not finished.

That was a temptation..... almost 1.5"....... wow.... medium ..

This is sauteed mushroom. Tasted ok inititally but after I felt full, the mushroom turned very salty.... my problem....

wa.... the taste... still lingering in my mouth.....

Clean.....

Left half plate

After dinner. I took a short walked nearby and went into a boutique with 70% off. I was not sure with how their discount system was, a dress with initial price USD 128, ended up with USD 29.90. Of course I bought immediately!!! Good bargain!
