Day 3 Part 2

After lunch, we went to this Li Miao village. Before entering, Master Wang already told us not to challenge the culture and traditions of Li Miao. They are the aboriginies of Hainan Island and had been isolated from the city development.

The entrance fees cost us another RMB 168/pax.

According to the tour guide from the Li Miao village, only the rich could owned such a bronze vase. The bigger the vase, the richer you are....

On the way walking into the village, Mr. Tour Guide explained a bit of their culture and tought us a few of Li Miao's language. 'Hu Hah' means hello but do not speak wrongly as 'hah hu' which meant for one to one battle.

On the way in, I realized there were alot of colourful pillar with bull skeleton attached to it.

They sand song to us a welcome gift.

But not much of facial expression.....

A bit of Li Miao history but we have no time to read it all as the tour guide walked extremely fast ahead of us.

Their Hair designer cum stylist

As we walked in thru this door, there were another group of villager welcoming us with their traditional dance and singing. We gotta held our hands and formed a circle and turned around like normally what we seen in tv. The funny part was these villagers will occasionally bump your backside as a welcoming sign. I am not very used to it so once i moved slightly backward and the let the two villagers bumped into each other.

We could take photos with the drum. I thought of performed my 24 season drums skill but so sorry the queue was too long..... ahem..... beh pai seh

Mommy looked so cute

The tour guide then told us that the villagers actually believe in bull as their god. Hence, they will pray for the bull and wear all sorts of bull pendant just like our common believers of other religion.

Another door to enter. They said these 2 guys were actually the body guard of their king.

Their ladies washroom

This guy will suddenly flew down a scared the hell out of us. But its another welcoming act.

This uncle been singing all t he way we passed thru his boundary. Again, he did not wore much facial expression ....

Their candle craft. Just like our batik.

Finished product. Nice right?

Their "rumah penghulu". When there were anything serious or urgent happened in the village, everyone will gathered at this small hall for meetings & discussions.

Thier head of villager. Mom did not let me to take photos with them.... wonder why

They claimed this is a bridge that brought good luck. Due to the queue was too long ,Only Alvin managed to walked thru.
=

The Chinese writing indicated food tasting for exotic. It's lucky they did not serve us any, or else this trip wouldn't be so 'healthy'. I might already get sick....

A small gallery picturing some of their daily lives.

They then took us for their cultural show. The first performance were some stunts and traditional dancing.

This guy jumped onto a pile of broken glasses but his feet never get injured.

Er... no comment

We then proceeded to another show, the cultural wedding. But the brides did not seems very happy.

It was time to leave after the show. We passed through a row of stalls selling fruits but the price was almost double compared to the market.

After leaving Li Miau Cultural Village, Master Wang drove us back to Haikou and so nice of him for requesting his friend to order a Beijing Duck for us. As by the time we reached Haikou was almost 8 pm and the restaurant closed at 9 ++ pm, we gotta pre-order or else habuk pun tak ada...

The famous Beijing duck

Quite nice. Bit different from Cambodia

I like this. Chrysanthemum fish

Sweet stuffed lotus

Our hotel in Haikou. International Financial (Jasper) Hotel. Cheap, booked through Air Asia. And..... some problem occured. Yvonne's and his dad's room were booked under my name, while Yen's booked for her parent. Ended up, Air Asia just reserved 2 rooms for us, one for me and another for Yen's parent. Where gone another 2 rooms and we had already paid for it!!! Since it was rather late and we could produced our travel confirmation, the registration officer checked in for us and mentioned she will confirmed with the agent the next day. Again Air Asia, you are sucks!!!

After checked in and lead my mom to the room, Yvonne, Yen, Alvin and I meet up with Master Wang and requested him to take us to local clean KTV. So nice of him, he actually wish to accompany his friend who had just broke up with her boyfriend (same girl who bought us the Beijing duck). But at the same time he felt reluctant to left us at the KTV, thus, he booked another room on his own bill next to ours and invited his friend to KTV.

We had a 3 hours fabulous time at the KTV. Just imagine, a jug of orange juice, 5 bottle of Anchor beer, a plate of fries just cost us RMB 140, not even RM 70!!!!! And please do not think their room or service is bad... nope.... their room was spacious, the monitor was a touched screen, could even control the lighting. They even has English songs just not much of varieties. So, we highly recommend those who plan to visit Hainan, please include KTV in your itinerary. It worth.

By the time we reached hotel again, already 2 am. Tired but still washed my hair and blowed it dry before sleep.........
