Hainan Trip- Day 2

Our 2nd day at Hainan. We woke up about 7.30 am and proceed to breakfast at a far far away restaurant. We gotta walked about 10 mins in order to reach their restaurant. Mom was still bit sick after taken a few lychee previous night. The food was buffet sytle, Chinese cuisine such as porridge and dumplings. Not to commend much, ok lar......

A view taken from my room.

Checked out from hotel. Master Wang suggested a place to have free foot massage. Well, I guess most tourist visited China would know this Bao Shu Tang. They famous camphor cream could cure burnt and they usually demonstrated in front of tourist. Then later we were brought to their Sinseh. They told us that this Proffesor Lin Qiang was one of the TCM committee that cured Phoenix broadcaster, Liu Hai Ruo during her accident in UK, 2002. He even cured Singapore's president on his cancer illness.

Well, most of the time our logic told us not to believe all his words but the instict told of of us he might be guineene after he demonstrated how he detected Yen's dad old fractured. 4out of 5 of us who met him actually had consultation and bought thier medicine. It cost us a total of RMB 39,800. Phew!!! We might be a "water fish" though. I felt relunctant too but since mom rather impressed with what the medication that rather hard to be found in Malaysia, so I decided to purchased. When reached Malaysia, I did some research and contacted a few parties, and the feed back were, the medication were guineene but Tung Shin hospital in Malaysia never heard of this proffesor as he claimed he had annual visits to this hospital. Ahem......

After the ultra expensive foot massage, we headed to Sanya for lunch. The journey took us about an hour. By the time we reached, Wen Chang chicken had been sold out, therefore we ordered Wen Chang goose instead. It taste good except it was very oily. Most of the food taken in Hainan was either oily or salty, or both.

The Wen Chang Goose

Free tasteless soup

Fried glass noodle, taste good but oily too

Can you see the layer of oil coated on the bean?

The whole meal cost RMB 220, quite reasonable.

We then headed to Tian Ya Hai Jiao, a place for lovers to meet up. The entrrance fee cost RMB 65/ pax. It was rather expensive as compared to what they offered. Not really worth it. Therefore, we took a lot of photos as compensation. heheheh

Even though the fee was so expensive, but the place was so crowded with tourist. Most of them were wearing the Haiwaian suit like uniforms.

Master Wang advised me to call my hubby and tell him that I have reach end of the world and no one can ever separate us.... Unfortunately, I was not allowed to make international call.

The lovers rock. Formed a heart shape from every angle to see it.

Yen's and my mom found a place to sit and chat, Yen's dad was chatting with Master Wang, and left the rest of us wandering arounds taking photos.

Yvonne's dad been very excitedly taking photos of us and himself. Seems like he really enjoy this trip, except for his gout problem.

Although bougainvillea is found everywhere in Malaysia but we still found it amusing that it can grew so tall unlike our ornamental plant at home.

I put on weight. Even my Mickey look fatter.... so sad

Cute bor?

Yee.. what's that?

A pair of whale topiary..... but with baby hair

Another pair of dragon topiary

Grr..... reminds me of dragon ball

Elephant? Not so likely.... the Pnomh Penh palace's look nicer....

Stall selling souveniers....

Another rock, but this do not have any writting carved on it

Palm tree!!!! But I didn't see any Ganoderma....kekekeke

Look like some pine fruit...

Anyone know what tree is that?

Most of the trees planted here were tropical tree that almost similar to Malaysia. Probably due to the weather.

I never see this one before....

Lotus bridge

Nice view eh?

Even better view

By the time we reached here, we received a call from Master Wang saying that our moms asked us to get back. Hmm.....

Yens's dad buying fruits from the stall. I tasted the pineapple before, sooooo sweet but my mom said they soaked it in syrup, cis!

The moms enjoying their watermelon

Taking some photos while waiting for dads toilet trip.

buhbye....

We then proceeded to a wet market. We can buy our fresh seafood there and send it to restaurant for the cooking. The restaurant will charge us about RMB 5 / 600g. There are a group of girl tried to pass us their name cards. After clarified with Master Wang, these girls were the representatives of those restaurant. They will accompany to for the shopping and maybe did some bargain for you. But at the end you must engage their restaurant.

Moms were so anxious picking the roe crabs. The monger even acknowledged my mom for her expertise, my mom's tail erected.... kekekeke

The lady who accompanied us trying to bargained for us but the monger refuse to make further discount. She dragged us away and said there will be other stall selling crabs. Reluctantly, moms left the stall for others. Unfortunately, we were not able to find other..... hmm... Yen's mom keep muttering 'sei na' ...

Varieties of fresh prawns

Lobsters! Can't remember the exact price, but about RMB 70/ 600g.

Geoduck... there was one type of mini geoduck there but not able to take photo, too crowded
plus... I started to get busy paying all the seafood the moms pointed finger at. They were happily shopping and we were so sweating following....

Oyster and the shell kind of seafood with scallop.

My total purchase:
Oyster and the shell kind of seafood with scallop for 8 pax: RMB 40
Mango clam, 1.2kg: RMB 36
Prawn, 600 g: RMB 14
Uni, 8 pcs: RMB 28.50
Fruits: RMB 60
After the shopping, something exciting happened. Master Wang had some misunderstanding with the lady from restaurant. The lady that approached did not work for the restaurant Master Wang planned to take us to. He refused to give in as he was not sure of the food quality this restaurant can provide. He then offered to tip her but she refused to receive and started to raise her voice. Master Wang raised his voice even higher and people started gathered and watched. He then took all the purchases and asked us to leave with him. We followed closely and the lady still tailing us. Even when we got up to the car safely, the lady and a group of her friends still looking at us. Master Wang told us what had happened as they spoke in Hainanese and we couldn't understand a word. He even said that if we did not walk off early, he was not sure if we could escape unhurt. These people was rather brutal after all....... phew....
He then sent us back to hotel and check in before proceed for dinner at Chun Yuan Seafood Square....

Master Wang ordered for us a fried noodle, taste like slim version of koey teow.

The prawn was soooo fresh and we did not have enough of it. Just simply boiled and we could ate the original taste of it.... yummy...
Should buy more

I feel like I don't really fancy cooked oyster. Still prefer the fresh ones....

The cost of cooking was RMB 125. So plus the raw material that we bought the whole dinner were about RMB 300++. This was kind of cheap as to compare with KL rate.
An extra show that you can't view in KL. Besides of our table, the tables around us were taken by all naked man!!! At least the top part, the weather was too hot, I gotta admit, like pipe water. But we were quite shocked that these people can just took off their shirt in public and just like an exhibition, everywhere in the restaurant... phew....

Master Wang then insisted in treating us a kind of special desert, 'Ching Pu Liang' but instead of syrup, the put in coconut milkl. Sounds special, so we decided to try. RMB 5/ bowl. We then decided to pack since no place for us to sit there...

At last...
Bubur Cha Cha........

hehehehe

We then back to hotel and cleaned up. Yen and I gathered in Yvonne's room for small chat and gotta did some "calculation". All of us were short in cash, never thought the entrance fees for tourist spot in Hainan were so expensive, underestimate. We then decided to pay our transport and Xing Long hotel in credit card, plus a 3% tax....sigh....
P/S: Credit to Yen as some of the photos were taken from her beloved camera...
