Hainan Trip- Day 1

Our Hainan trip started with Yvonne, Alvin & their dad waiting for us almost and hour in LCCT. Mom and I reached there about 4.50 am and Yen arrived with her parent at 5.30 am. We boarded our flight at 6.50 am and landed at Mei Lan airport about 10.30 am. We did not sleep much through out the flight thank to those uncles that did not need to give their mouth a rest for 3 hours plus.

When passing the imigresion, Yvonne's dad was caught for Visa problem but was settled immediately. Once retrived our luggages and passed throught the custom inspection, just Alvin was blocked by them for enquiries. Poor Alvin and dad.....

We took some times to find a public phone and make a call to our China travelling agent and managed to meet our tour guide, Master Wang (Wang Sifu). He sent us for lunch at a hotel in Haikou.

Well, initially the waitress did not gave us good services due to Master Wang did not join us for lunch. After Master Wang came in and tried to communicate with the waitress, then we get our food & services.

The famous Wen Chang chicken. Just a common steam chicken with the meat was tender like our Kampung chicken.

Besides of rice, the waitress did asked would we preferred dumpling. I guess that the major food for Hainanese not only restricted for rice but also wheat food such as dumpling and pancakes.

The brinjal taste good but must taken with rice, salty!

The bill was rather reasonable, just RMB 189 for 6 dishes.
We then proceed our journey to Xing Long. After 2 hours of journey, we finally reached the coffee factory.

A coffee tree.....

The tour of coffee processing & tasting was rather short but shopping took a long journey. We ended up full with shopping bags. Mom and I spent RMB 240, Yen and family RMB 247 while Yvonnes' spent about RMB 770!!!
After a crazy shopping trip, we proceeded to Hainan Xinglong Silver Lake Hotel. Master Wang assisted us to check in and paid for our bills.
Ta da... our room.

Quite spacious and clean.... just the matress were hard... or totally no mattress at all...

This is the reason why we had chosen this hotel. They provided hotspring tub in rooms....

After we took our bath and slight rest, we decided to stroll along the hotel while waiting for Master Wang.

The hotel was huge!

Yvonne & Alvin in Hindi movie

To reach the hotspring and restaurant, we gotta crossed a lake.

and a large swimming pool

We requested to have some local food and Master Wang then send us to a nearby town to have some noodles.

Its sour but quite tasty. Only RMB 5/ bowl and we ordered 3 bowls. Since Yen's & my mom did not take beef, I ended up sharing with Yvonne.

Yen's & my mom found a stall nearby selling vegetables and seafood.

They served hot tea in plastic cup... well, we told ourselves just once a while....

Barbeque oyster. Our moms managed to get the oyster RMB 1/ pc... salute!!!

Stuffed bean curd.

We were so excited that all the dishes just cost us RMB 115, which is less than RM60! Where can we get this in Malaysia? By the way, the soup was free, but Yvonne said taste like water.

After Master picked us up, he sent us to buy a local phone card. We then headed back to hotel for our hotspring session.

The attendant said that they needed some time to fill up the water and hence he gave us 10 mins fish spa for free!!!

It felt so itchy that Yvonne, Yen and I giggles all the time.

After the fish spa, we had about half an hour hotspring. Due to all of us were in swim suit, so, no photo was uploaded!!!!! It was a good experience though, and we did sleep well that night.
